Seahorses (Year 1) 2019 - 2020

Welcome to Seahorses!

Welcome to a new term! It looks set to be a great one!

This term, our topic follows on from 'All about Me!' and is called 'Healthy Me'. Our roleplay area is a hospital and we will be learning about what we need to do to stay healthy. Check out the Spider Learning Journey in the documents section to see what we will be discovering this term.

Reading Books

We read as often as we can so please ensure your child always brings in their reading book. This term, books will be changed on a Tuesday/Wednesday and a Friday. Please sign the yellow reading record when you have heard your child read and it is important to talk about the books with your children so that they can develop their comprehension skills.

PE

PE this term will be on a Monday and a Wednesday afternoon. The children will be practising their dance skills, please could you ensure that they have their PE kit in school at all times so that they can take part.

Water Bottles

This year, to ensure that the water bottles are kept clean, we are asking children to take them home at the end of every day to be washed and refilled with water, ready for the next day. There is plenty of water available at school as well, in case they need to fill them again throughout the day.

I am really excited to be teaching your children this year and we have lots of exciting plans, so keep checking back!
