Sharks (Year 6) 2021 - 2022

Term 5 has arrived! 

DON'T PANIC!

This term does see the return of the SATs tests from May the 9th. A full timetable of the asessmets will be provided below. We ask that the children carry on their normal lives, complete the homeworks set and not worry about them. The tests are designed to allow the the children to how how well they have done over their Primary education and NOT to cause sleepless nights. The week will go ahead as calmly as possible. Please ensure that your children go to bed at a sensible time have a good breakfast and arrive at school on time ready to show what they can do.

Our theme this term is continuing with the Vikings and then moving on to the Greeks and the end of Year performance! We will look at how both civilizations affected our country and the myths and legends that follow them. 

This term PE will be on a  Monday and a Tuesday. On Mondays we will be playing tennis and Tuesdays continuing to embrace the good weather with athletics. We ask that the children have the correct clothes on for PE including tracksuit bottoms for the cooler days as well as wearing thier school jumper.

Homework will be set on a Friday to be handed in the following Thursday. Homework will be mixture of online  work as well as practical activities. The children will be expected to read as regularly, learn their weekly spellings and times tables

We are delighted to offer the whole school a brand new resource to use in school and at home. MyOn is a bank of digital books of  variety of genre. 

Encourage your children to login with their user names and password and get reading. There will be projects for them to enter in to for their homework linked to the readig they can do in the program.
