Sharks (Year 6) 2017 - 2018

Welcome to Sharks class page!

What a brilliant start to the school year we have had! We have already visited the castle twice and been on an exciting and exclusive walk around Fort Burgoyne.

The children have enjoyed writing about themselves, producing some amazing autobiographies and have started to investigate their own family trees. These have prompted some great discussion and further questions to go back home with.

If you find yourself in our room, see what you can find out about the different sharks that the children have been studying - some of them are quite scary!

PE: this year PE will take place on Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure that your child is ready for the lesson and has a PE kit in school at all times - this consists of a pale blue tshirt navy blue shorst and trainers or plimsolls. The children also may benefit, in the winter terms, from a pair of track suit bottoms and a hoody.

Mile of the day: Term 2 will see the return of the Mile a Day. Children will be encouraged to run, jog or walk for 15min on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and hopefully travel a whole mile! We look forward to them getting fitter and fitter over the year ahead.
