We have now found out what our mystery tree it called! The proper name for this tree is the White Beam. It grows on chalk downland and is very rare in the wild but often planted in parks and gardens. It’s Latin name is Sorbus Aria. It has scarlet coloured berries that birds eat and it’s leaves feed caterpillars.
