STEM Egg Challenge

Lesson: Design and technology

Class: Pine Class (Year 5) Year: 2021 - 2022

In term 5 Sand Dollars completed a STEM egg challenge as part of their homework. Each child was given a plastic egg and the challenge was to make a sling/harness or cable car to transport their egg from the top to the bottom of a zip wire.

We had many different variations. Points were given for design, protection and speed. All the children had great fun. Some had thought very carefully about their designs and tried them out at home.

Shuwasna's egg travelled the fastest down the zip wire in 1.67 seconds!
