Forest School Term 2

Class: Paddington Class (Y1/2) Year: 2024 - 2025

08.11.24 It was our first time in the forest so we discussed the rules and how to keep ourselves, our friends and the forest safe. We read the story 'Bog Baby.' The children used clay to make their own bog baby or forest troll. I was amazed by their creativity. Then the children were given some time to explore the forest area. 

15.11.24 The children painted their clay creations. We then went out into the forest so they could design a home for their woodland creation. They built mini shelters with a roof, paths and gardens. 

22.11.24 The children made mini rafts with sticks and string. We tested if they float in a bucket of water.

29.11.24 We made bird feeders and went bug hunting.

17.12.24 We painted log slices to make hanging christmas decorations.
